Cast Iron Curing Blues

I decided to clean and cure the cast iron cookware today.  Stuck in oven, forgot and returned to computer until mom came - crawling on her hands and knees, tears rolling from her blinded eyes from the smoke, begging for help! Ha too funny. Yep, did smoke a bit, then added fan in Livingroom.  While setting up the fan in kitchen, tried to set the fan in a chair where it promptly fell and broke with the horrible shirking from plastic fan blades binding.  No fixing it.... Mom, stay away from fan.... no cover!  Note: remodeling...
